Burnout-Proof Leadership: 3 Ways to Prevent and Overcome Burnout

The slow burn of burnout often goes unnoticed until it's too late.

Early signs to watch for include persistent exhaustion, cynicism towards work, and a sense of ineffectiveness.

You might find yourself saying "good, just busy" or "when things calm down, I'll..." for weeks on end. Pay attention to how long you've felt stressed, tired, or doubtful about your abilities. Outward signs in others can be equally telling. Look for shifts in mood or behavior, withdrawal from hobbies or social interactions, and a growing disinterest in things they once cared about. Tardiness, reduced performance, or a lack of enthusiasm for their job or clients are also red flags.

I dug into this with Jessica Gibbs and David Armstrong, hosts of Monument Wealth Management’s Off The Wall Podcast.
