3 QUICK WAYS TO SNEAK MOVEMENT INTO YOUR DAY

Struggling to move throughout the day or even get a workout in? Here are three ways to sneak movement into your regular routine.

1. Coffee Counter Push-Ups:

While your coffee (or tea) is brewing, use your kitchen counter to do some push-ups.

  • keep your elbows tucked into your sides.

  • hands underneath your armpits.

You can swap this with squats, lunges, counter dips, jumping jacks…really any movement. This will help mix things up too, so you don’t get bored.

2. Dishwasher Deadlifts:

Every time you put a dish in the dishwasher or take a dish out of the dishwasher think of it like a deadlift.

  • feet shoulder-width apart

  • stabilize your core

  • send your butt back as you descend.

  • squeeze your butt and send it forward until your body is in a straight line (don’t overextend) as you stand up.

You can alternatively treat it like a nice hamstring stretch.

3. Stroll While You Hold:

Whenever you’re on hold, go for a walk. If you can’t go anywhere, pace around the space you’re in.

You can also do this while on any phone call (whether you’re on hold or not). And you can swap in alternative moves to keep things fresh.

*Bonus: Microwave Moves.

Similar to number one. While you’re waiting for the microwave, get moving!
