Spring Clean: Your Skin Care
Spring Clean Your Skin Care
Spring Cleaning extends to your skin care and cosmetic products too. The climate is changing, products might be old and filled with bacteria, your brushes too might need a spruce or swap. Thankfully, this to-do list is simple and won’t require major overhauls. A few tweaks and cleans and you’ll be set to glow.
Think light. Climate affects what your skin needs. Most people need to transition from a heavier moisturizer in winter to a lighter moisturizer in spring. Think cream to lotion.
Shed it. Use a gentle exfoliating product to shed the dead skin off that has piled up during winter. (Assuming you aren’t already exfoliating weekly...hint hint). This will help clear the pores, and allow your products to work better.
Out with the old. Check your products (skin and makeup) and toss out anything older than 6 months. Germs...you don’t want to spread those into your newly cleaned pores, do you? Similarly, clean or replace your brushes. I would vote for a thorough cleaning to save money, but if you can’t seem to get them sparkling anew, then it’s time to replace them. Again...germs.
